Education

I graduated from the University of California San Diego (UCSD) with a fine arts B.A. degree in Interdisciplinary Computing in the Arts (ICAM). I am currently doing a post-bac at SDSU for entrance into medical school.

Experience

I am primarily interested in helping students K-12. I was class Valedictorian at Montgomery High School with a GPA >4.6. I have had acceptances in all of the colleges I have applied, including UC-Berkeley. I have taken most of the AP classes offered with the exception of AP European History, AP Spanish, and AP Art. I've worked with children as a volunteer and employee at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego. I have also been an intern and speech writer for a U.S. Ambassador and director at the Center for Environment and National Security at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. I have been a lab intern and lab technician for an Anesthesiology Research Lab at UCSD/VA Hospital. I have volunteered overseas for Project Nicaragua, a program based on bringing quality healthcare to the people of Nicaragua. I have participated in a six month program Spanish immersion program for pre-health professionals in Guatemala. I am pretty flexible, just tell me what your situation is and we can work something out ;)

I was born and raised in San Diego! I have wide range of interests from art to science. I love drawing and painting. I also like to cook vegetarian/vegan dishes. In my spare time, I like to be very active (hiking surfing, snorkeling, and camping). I love traveling and learning about different cultures and languages. I know Tagalog, Spanish and Japanese. I love being creative and using my hands (sewing, crafts, knitting). I also have some experience in open source programming for interactive digital media (Arduino, Processing). I LOVE READING! :)))
