I have an MA degree in Mathematics. I now teach at Southwestern Community College. As a tutor, I am able to see how successful I am, based on the amount a student has learned with my assistance. I work with individuals of all ages. This includes high school students and even retirees. I've worked as a tutor for many colleges and have also tutored students privately.As a tutor, I hope to make math fun and interesting. I also strive to make it more manageable to understand. When I first got started with math, it didn't come easily to me. I had to work hard and be patient. I was able to face my fears and became more successful in the subject. When I graduated, I was in the top 10% of my class! Since I used to have issues with math, I know what kinds of trouble other people have. I have an idea what topics and themes are most confusing. I think that with extra assistance and patience, anyone can be successful at math. When I'm not helping others as a tutor, I like to spend time playing sports, such as tennis, basketball and surfing. I also like to run and enjoy spending time at the beach.
