ExperienceGuaranteeing the success of students in the classroom is about determining the best individual approach to take with each student. I want to help every student I tutor succeed by sharing the tools and habits that helped me during my educational experiences, and by making the classroom a creative setting that students find useful and interesting. My own formal education continues as I pursue a doctorate from San Diego State University and the University of California, San Diego, in language and communicative disorders. Specifically, I am learning about language development and bilingualism. My undergrad studies culminated at Cornell University, where I earned a degree in linguistics and was Summa Cum Laude. I belonged to a fraternity and gave campus tours to prospective members and was a recruitment advisor.I love academics, and I particularly enjoy tutoring the subjects of reading and writing, and helping students prepare for standardized tests. I also like the challenge of making math topics easier to understand. I have tutored elementary school students in math, as well as algebra and geometry. I also can help students with social studies, English, sociology, statistics, algebra, and religious studies. My interests include traveling, photography, hiking, gymnastics, and cooking.
