Math is my favorite subject to tutor in. It promotes a logical mental process and I think it lays a foundation for understanding all other science related subjects. I have also taught environmental science, oceanography, and test prep at the high school and college level. From algebra and arithmetic, to calculus, I can set any math student on the right track. I have a patient, adaptable teaching approach and work around students' various needs and learning styles. I believe it's the tutor's job to present school work such that the student is able to absorb the information.While at Fordham University, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Math and earned an M.S. in Computer Science at MIT. I also have a PhD in Oceanography from my studies at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. When not tutoring or occupying my mind with science, I love to go hiking. My outside passions also include nature photography and drawing.
