Experience
I currently attend Stanford University and have a lot of experience teaching and tutoring. I primarily tutor in the subjects of English, social sciences, and math, as these are my strengths. My love of teaching has led me as far away as China, where I was an English teacher in an elementary school. I have also volunteered time working for different non-profit organizations where I tutored SAT and writing to students over Skype. I have also worked with organizations that aim to raise literacy in schools with at-risk youths.Through my experience, I have developed a strong and passionate view of education. I believe it can not only change lives, but that it can reshape the communities in which the students live. As a tutor, it is a great joy of mine to see students discover the world around them. I love to watch them succeed. I aim to know every student and how they learn. I am highly adaptable with my students, and I see to it that every student gets the detailed attention that will help them to grow as a learner. When I'm not tutoring, I love reading, writing, and doing activities such as tennis, running, and walking my dogs.
