I am a Computer Science engineer from MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology in Bangalore, India. I have over 8 years of experience working in the software development field both in India and in the US. To be able to spend more time with my children, I have decided to switch careers and have opted to be a tutor.

Experience

I come from a family of teachers. My mother use to tutor children at our home and I would love to help her out with the kids and enjoyed myself doing it. I strongly believe that a child doing well in academics at an early age grows up to be a confident child and developes a love for academics. A one-on-one interaction between a student and a teacher is extremely beneficial for the child. I have been my kids' tutor at home and believe that that is one of the reasons they are doing so well in school. I have taken child development classes to better understand how best to interact and relate with children. I have experience volunteering in my child's first grade class where I worked with the kids on their reading skills.

Hobbies

I am a stay-home mother of a 12 and 7 year old. I love and enjoy spending time with my children. As a family, we are avid sports fans and the basketball team Lakers is our passion! We try and catch their games once in a while esp if they happen to play in San Diego. Our favorite family activity is to go hiking around the city.
