Experience
I currently attend the University of California San Diego as a PhD candidate in Linguistics. My areas of research include social cognition and language acquisition. I earned my B.A. in Linguistics and French at the University of Texas at Austin while also participating in the university's honors program.I love to tutor in topics that I am passionate about, including French, psychology, history, and various areas in English. I am also available to assist students in test prep, including the SAT. Right now I am a graduate assistant at UCSD, which involves assisting the professor and the students in the course. I enjoy being able to help students in as many ways as I can, both with academic concerns and anything else they may need. I believe that enjoying the subject you are learning about is key to successfully learning it, so it is this enjoyment and appreciation of knowledge that I try to teach students. Outside of tutoring I enjoy costume design, travel, reading, and writing fiction.
