I received my B.S. in Biochemistry from Azusa Pacific University in 2014. I now work as a Manufacturing Scientist for a company in Carlsbad.

Experience

I really love helping light bulbs ignite in students. During college I worked as a Chess Instructor at elementary schools, providing the "Success Through Chess" after-school program. I'm trained in techniques applying short-term incentivized goals and teaching through guiding. I believe that "showing" needs to be a secondary alternative to guiding a student through the correct thought process. This is the only way to connect ALL the dots so that the techniques are actually learned and can be performed upon testing. This and practice, of course. Before college I tutored in Pre-Calculus and Spanish. During college I tutored in Calculus, Biology, Biochemistry, and Organic Chemistry. The science tutoring usually included both theory and lab techniques. I am used to training new employees on lab techniques.
