Experience
I am working in The Scripps Research Institute as a research associate which is ranked first in scientific research in U.S. among non-profit science research institutes. I am doing research in neuroscience and stem cell biology. My research work is focussed on finding novel treatment for Alzheimer's Disease. I have taught students during my research career in the Scintillon Institute, San diego as part of their summer program. Among them, one of my students have now joined undergraduate program in Stanford university. During my Master's degree in Biophysics from the University of Calcutta, I tutored a batch of 5 undergraduate students in the field of Zoology. I had scored among top 0.1% of students in chemistry and english in All India board exams. I have also ranked among top 50 in Scholarship exam for entering graduate school conducted by Council of Scientific and Educational research, India.

Hobbies
I am passionate about my research work and spend a lot of time in the laboratory. I love to teach. I think that students can be great company and you can yourself learn a lot from them. I think my research experience can motivate my students to ask interesting questions and take up science for higher education. I love reading fiction as well as non-fiction. I am also interested in travelling. I have visited several places in U.S.A, Japan and India. I feel that along with syllabus based studies, it is important to expand your knowledge base by reading and travelling.
