Experience
After graduating high school, I attended Southwestern College, where I earned my associate degree in biology. From there, I entered the National University - San Diego, and obtained my BS in biology. Now I'm attending the National University and workers towards my MPH (Master's of Public Health) degree. As you can see, I have always had a strong appreciation for science. I also noticed early on that many of my fellow students would ask me for help, because they were afraid the teacher or a tutor would be harsh with them, or wouldn't care about their needs. I understood, because I had been afraid of the same thing. Now I take pride in helping students succeed in achieving their goals, and building trust so they know that instructors are there to encourage and promote their success. I've had some interesting work experiences that I believe make me a better all around tutor, including working in a research laboratory and doing sample testing for bioterrorism agents. I also did tutoring in low income communities in various subjects. In all, I have five years of experience in tutoring. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, spend time outdoors, and read medical journals.
