As a freshman pursuing undergraduate degrees in mathematics and mechanical engineering at the University of Kansas, I ultimately want to earn an advanced degree in engineering.As for my tutoring interests, I first gained experience in this area while in high school. When I was a freshman, I began tutoring grade school students in high-level math subjects, and I later broadened my focus by including ACT/SAT exam prep over the course of my final year.I have completed a dozen AP tests, including AP Physics B and AP Latin. While I offer my services in the aforementioned, I especially enjoy tutoring in ACT/SAT/PSAT exam prep as well as in mathematics -- particularly the sort of instruction useful in competition math at the pre-collegiate level.As a tutor, I seek to ensure that my students completely grasp the concepts they are seeking instruction in, and I won't quit until my students fully understand even the most complex of subjects. I understand that different people learn in different ways -- and what works for one student might not work for another -- so I've learned to instruct my students based on their learning styles.
