Experience
This past summer, I had my first teaching job as an Algebra 1 teacher. I am also a sub in a K-12 school district. I have tutored 5th grade through 12th grade students in various subjects. I was an in-class tutor/teacher aid in a 7th/8th grade combo Spanish class at the Preuss School in La Jolla. I speak both English and Spanish (I learned Spanish in High School/College) and I have had various training for study/organization skills. I love tutoring because it is fun and rewarding to work with students and help them maximize their educational opportunities in order to achieve their goals.

Hobbies
I have participated in the performing arts (choir and musical theatre) my whole life. I also was on the water polo team in high school. I still love swimming. I also love reading. My favorite authors include John Grisham and JK Rowling. I have been the Co-Chair of an educational social justice organization called CAUSE at UCSD and currently serve on my college's student council as the Vice Chair External. I have 2 little sisters and I love spending time with them as well.
