I enjoy swimming, hiking, reading, and traveling. I love teaching and am taking a break to stay home with my baby. While I decided not to continue teaching full time, I want to continue working with students. I have always worked with struggling students and am proud of the fact that I can find a way to explain things in a simple, straight -forward way that helps students have an "aha" moment. One of the classes I taught was intervention math for the lowest achieving students at my school. I learned a multitude of strategies to help these students access grade-level material and prepare them for high school. I have high expectations for students because I know I can help them achieve. No one is "bad at math", some students simply need to work harder than others. Everyone can find success!
