Previous teaching experience: Two years as a teaching Assistant at California State University San Marcos. Subjects: United States and World History I thoroughly adore history and during my tenure as a teaching assistant students repeatedly expressed to me how I made history enjoyable to learn, inspired some to want to change their major to history, and felt overall I was one of the best professors they had. They consistently told me in person and through end of semester evaluations I was supportive and encouraged their success not only in the history classes I taught, but also college in general. I provided extensive feedback on written papers and exams, mentored and provided additional tutoring during office hours, and consistently attempted to strengthen their confidence in the subject matter and as scholars. I will be able to provide the same experience to students I tutor. I am willing to meet students in public places such as libraries or coffee houses. Libraries are preferable since there are sources available to research for papers if needed.
