Experience being a tutor for a year at Grade Potential Tutoring. SAT score: 1800 ACT score: 23 I have a passion for education, especially higher education because I am a firm believer in the philosophy that knowledge is power. For many, coming from an underprivileged, minority community can be seen as an obstacle due to the lack of resources, however, with a positive outlook those seemingly tough obstacles can act as motivations. I would like to share my motivation and fervor for obtaining an education with as many people as possible. Tutoring can be that outlet for contributing my outlook. Throughout my undergraduate career, I have come across various coursework that would be relevant for many different subjects. Those include english/writing, liberal arts, philosophy, communications, logic/critical thinking... At UCSB, I was involved in multiple clubs that focused on helping others achieve their educational goals. One of those clubs was called Educating Leaders For the Future in which I played a pivotal role in helping high school young adults prepare for college-level curriculum.
