I'm certified teacher with many years of experience working with students. I love to teach, because it's challenging and rewarding. I have taught social studies, I've worked with autistic students, and I currently work in a special education department. As a tutor and mentor, I worked with students of all ages. I'm always learning something new for my students, and I modify my approach based on the needs and learning styles of students to help them be successful. I want students to leave my sessions wanting to learn more. I want to help students who struggle to overcome learning obstacles so they can enjoy learning as much as I do. I believe that if you can change your mindset to the positive, you can achieve your dreams and change the world. I want my students to adopt this mindset which leads to the successful lives that I know they can have. I'm looking forward to tutoring students in study skills and organization, essay writing and editing, English grammar, phonics, reading, history, government, and social studies. Outside of education, I enjoy staying active and love to be outdoors. I enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities, and I like to exercise and eat well. I also enjoy cooking, gardening, and traveling.
