I can tutor in a lot of different subjects, but chemistry is my favorite. I love learning about chemistry, and I enjoy teaching as well. I attended UCLA for my bachelor's degree in chemistry, and then I moved on to Georgia State University to earn my master's degree in chemistry. Following that, I attended UC - Irvine where I earned my doctorate degree in molecular biology and biochemistry. Several students I've tutored have gone on to study at the very best colleges in the country. As a PhD student, I also tutored undergraduates who went on to attend top colleges for their graduate degrees. I speak Mandarin Chinese natively. When I work with students, I impress upon them that learning can be enjoyable. It can be hard to learn new topics, but it is better to learn it and to become confident. I utilize a teaching approach that involves active learning, so students are working alongside me as opposed to listening to me lecture. When I have free time, I enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and camping. I also like to read and play organized sports. Other interests include photography and fine art.
