I attended the University of Lancaster for my bachelor's degree in English, and San Francisco State University for my master's degree in English. My specialty as a tutor is helping students become better writers. I also love literature, and I can teach it up through the college level. I try to make my sessions fun because learning can be enjoyable, and when students are having fun they are more likely to stay engaged, learn, and retain information. I want students to enjoy the material they study and understand why it is important, as well as develop the ability to articulate their thoughts on paper. I currently work in the biomedical field in communications. I get to utilize my skills on a daily basis, but tutoring is rewarding because I get to share what I know with others and help them achieve their goals.
