I attended the University of California - Santa Cruz for my bachelor's degree in biology. My focus was molecular biology and its relationship with human anatomy and physiology. As a college student I often helped classmates work through learning obstacles and science. I also had experience as a teaching assistant for junior high teachers. I can tutor students in multiple science topics including genetics, biochemistry, anatomy and physiology, physics, microbiology, chemistry, and biology. I can also tutor students in foundational math topics, pre-algebra, and algebra. Of these, I enjoy tutoring anatomy and physiology the most, because this helps prepare students for studying medicine. When I put together a plan for my students so that they learn about the subject, it also develops learning skills that they can use throughout their academic careers. When I have free time, I like to run and swim, and I enjoy watching sports.
