Experience
I'm currently attending San Diego State University for a master's degree in psychology. I went to UC - Irvine for my bachelor's degree in psychology, also earning a biology minor. I have a lot of experience as a tutor and teacher of students of all ages. I've been a TA for neuroscience in psychology courses. I tutored high school and college students in study and learning skills. I've also been a therapy aide at for children and teenagers as a volunteer. When I work with students, I try to make the material and the session fun and interesting. I use games to work through math problems with young children for example. Although I love neuroscience and psychology and related topics the most, I can provide tutoring for a wide array of subjects. I like to utilize problem-solving, creativity, and active learning my sessions. I also adjust the way I tutor to accommodate the learning style of the student I'm working with. When I have free time, I like to ride horses, practice creative writing, and explore new cities. I also enjoy photography.
