Experience

I graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in History. During my undergraduate years, I was inspired by the high level at which we were expected to perform as students. I have a decade of experience in teaching and tutoring, both in the U.S. and internationally. I am passionate about writing, the humanities, the social sciences, and languages. I can tutor a wide variety of AP- and IB-level classes, including courses in history, government, politics, philosophy, and literature. I am also able to tutor students learning Spanish and French at any level, from beginners to those who are preparing for the SAT Subject Tests. I try to bring the skills I learned in writing, studying, and thinking to each of my students. With every student, I determine the best way to approach each subject in order to make it fun, exciting, and beneficial. I have high expectations for all of my students, and I do all I can to bring out the best in them. My outside interests are quite diverse, but my favorite ways to spend my free time include reading graphic novels, playing video games, watching soccer, and listening to music.
