Private tutor in San Diego, CA
Education
Loyola College Maryland - BA, Philosophy , SDSU - MA, Liberal Arts and Sciences
Experience
I attended Loyola Marymount University to earn my bachelor's degree in philosophy, and San Diego State to earn my master's degrees in creative writing and liberal arts and sciences. As a graduate student, I had the opportunity to teach for both the RWS department and the English department, and I also tutored disabled students in writing. I enjoy tutoring students in reading, writing, essay writing and editing, literature, English grammar, philosophy, and the verbal reasoning section of the GRE. My favorite subject to tutor is GRE verbal reasoning because success on the exam can help students gain admission to their preferred school, which is very exciting. When I tutor a student, I try to find the biggest gaps in their learning and then I concentrate on alleviating them one by one. When I have free time, I enjoy playing tennis, reading novels, hiking, kayaking, and travel.
