I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics from the University of California. I've tutored math for the past three years. As a student, I've had the opportunity to be a peer tutor and a teaching assistant for a number of math and science courses. I tutor several math courses, including all levels of algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, all levels of calculus, and multivariable calculus. My favorite course to tutor is calculus, simply because of how it is applied in so many other fields. As a math tutor, I feel it is important to show students the many ways the concepts we are reviewing are applied in real-world settings. I feel this helps students gain a more complete understanding of the concepts, in ways solving problems often can't provide. In my leisure time, I enjoy watching science fiction movies, reading books, exploring new scientific concepts, and spending time in nature.
