Experience

I graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, with a focus in environmental and civil engineering. After I completed my bachelor's program, I relocated to Tanzania and received a Fulbright Research Grant for helping construct a water distribution system for a small, remote village. After spending some time abroad, I entered a graduate program at the University of California - Davis and received my master's degree in civil and environmental engineering. While pursuing my degree, I also found time to tutor students who were eager to improve their academic skills. I have experience tutoring a number of subjects, from basic math, science, and social studies courses, all the way up to college-level courses. In addition, I've taught classrooms filled with eager students, as well as individuals on a one-on-one basis. I truly love learning about math, chemistry, and physics, which is why I enjoy imparting my wisdom to students who're interested in gaining a deeper understanding of these subjects. In addition to engineering-related courses, I also enjoy teaching writing and critical reading to students of all ages. When I'm outside of the classroom, I like doing outdoor activities like hiking, cycling, rock climbing, and spending sunny days at the beach.
