I'm currently studying at San Diego State University, where I am working to earn my master's of science degree in Bioinformatics. Previously, I obtained a degree in Pharmacy, and worked as a pharmacist. I have many years of experience as a tutor and a teacher. I've worked with a diversity of students, all different ages and subjects. I particularly enjoy science, and have a passion for teaching. My favorite subject to tutor in is chemistry. I have dug deep into the intricacies of the subject, beyond what's just in the textbooks. I have developed my own methods of learning the material, and feel satisfaction when these extra little tricks help my students understand chemistry better. I also really enjoy tutoring math at all levels, even pre-calculus. I feel like this subject is good for stretching the brain. My students and I treat the different exercises as puzzles, and I have them do the work without a calculator whenever possible. I develop good relationships with my students, so they feel comfortable with me and are able to share with me their academic concerns. Outside of teaching and tutoring, I like to keep as busy as possible. I like Sudoku, writing, photography, cooking, and outdoor activities.
