I went to San Diego State University to earn my bachelor's degree in biology. I then went to National University for another bachelor's in math. I taught math at the middle school level primarily for many years, and I'm now retired. As a tutor, I specialize in lower level math up through algebra. The subject I enjoy teaching most is pre-algebra, because this is where the foundations are laid for more complex math courses. When I work with students, I relate concepts in math to applications in the real world, and I show students the math is everywhere. This helps make math more interesting, and I'm always looking for ways to keep students engaged and having fun. When I have some free time, I like to travel, hike, and practice photography.
