I have a California Teaching Credential and a Master's Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I have been teaching English for over twenty years. From 1992-2002, I taught advanced reading, writing, listening and speaking at SDSU's American Language institute. From 1994 to the present, I have been employed by Sweetwater Unified School District as an ESL teacher. I teach English and study skills to students (age 18 to 80). I specialize in pronunciation and writing. I am very patient and easy going. I use encouragement, not criticism. Learning is a process and everyone makes mistakes, that's a given, so it is better to be relaxed, laugh and have some fun while learning. I have helped thousands of students obtain their goals: of getting their GED, going to college, getting U.S. Citizenship, getting a job, getting a better job, communicating with a spouse, a doctor, a teacher. Whatever your need is in English, I can help!

I love camping, hiking, off-roading, photography, going to movies, and traveling and learning about different cultures. I have lived in England and Mexico and have been to 43 countries so far. I am also a mom. I have an 18 yr old daughter attending SDSU as a Business Major and a 15 yr old son who loves surfing, skateboarding, rugby and theater.
