Hobbies

Having grown up on a farm, I enjoy a wide variety of crafts and hobbies. I taught cake decorating courses at Michaels through the Wilton method and I've taught those courses to individuals at home too. I water bath and pressure can fruits and vegetables; I practice green living; I enjoy cooking and baking, especially altering recipes to incorporate healthy alternatives. I've struggled with migraines, hormone imbalances, and blood sugar imbalances for a long time now. Although I spend more time than I'd like in a disabled state, I still do very well in school, make time and energy available to my students, and best of all, I can relate to anyone struggling with mental or physical illness. I bring compassion to my work that is deeply rooted in my personal struggles.
