Yes, when I say the Oxford Programme for Undergraduate Students, I mean that I studied abroad at Oxford University in England. Oxford uses a tutorial system. Professors, or tutors, meet with students one-on-one and mentor them individually. I cannot begin to express how much this kind of direct attention benefitted me and, in turn, impressed upon me the importance of a one-on-one learning experience. I have a real passion for helping struggling students get their thoughts out on paper. My approach is to break down writing to its essentials, looking at each element individually, and then work to connect the parts together. While each writing project is different, the skills utilized to approach it are the same. I want to help students see what approach works best for them so that they can feel confident when they sit down to write.
