Master of Arts in English from West Chester University. Graduated in May 2008 with a 3.75 GPA Bachelor of Arts in English from Eastern Connecticut State University. Graduated in December 2005 with a 3.7 GPA in my major. Bachelor of Sciences in Political Science from Eastern Connecticut State University with a minor in Philosophy. Graduated in December 2005 with a 3.8 GPA in my Major and Minor.

Experience

While earning my Masters degree in English I worked informally in a writing center to help undergraduate students with essays for their classes. This consisted of providing feedback for content as well as syntax and grammar. I also worked as a Student Orientation Counselor, where I taught students the policies of the campus, where everything was located, and helped hundreds of students create their first college schedule. I want to be a tutor because I enjoy working with students and seeing their progress. After graduating with my masters degree I got a job in the private sector where I worked my way up to the position of Director. I train new employees and still enjoy the process of teaching people new things, and want to bring that passion back into the education field.

In my free time I still enjoy to read, and I write on occasion. My literary interests are broad, and while driving I listen to audio-books on American History. I hike with my dog, go kayaking, camp, and love to exercise on my road bike. Cooking is a passion of mine and I love trying new food.
