Experience
I received my undergraduate degree in 2005, and finished credential coursework there. I attended San Diego Christian College, where my major was Human Development. Presently, I'm working to approve my credential with the University of California- Los Angeles. I've worked as a teacher and substitute teacher for elementary school students. I've worked with standard-sized classes and with small sections of students in the areas of Mathematics and Reading. I'm experienced working with individuals learning English, and can help with vocabulary and reading. As a teacher, it's important for me to help students develop effective techniques and resources to achieve success. It's also a teacher's responsibility to become familiar with every student's individual needs and personalities. I work with each student's strong points in order to build on them and develop new ones. I can help students with Elementary Math, Middle School Math, ESL/ELL, Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, Pre-Algebra, English, etc. I can also work with them to build better study skills, organization, and writing. I love to read, bike, run, cook, and bake. I also am always happy to learn new teaching skills.
