Although I speak many languages now, learning other languages besides my native French was not always easy for me. Because I struggled with learning other languages, including English, I know that it is important for my students to have the confidence in their current abilities so that they can learn more and progress further in the language of their choice. I have taught French as a tutor for years, not only in the US, but also in a few countries in South America, as well as Sweden ad Spain. I graduated from the University of Angers, in France. I taught with a French immersion school as well, and tutored French to Red Cross workers. I have also tutored English to immigrants as part of Proliteracy Nevada. I use the LITSTART method when tutoring any language, including English as a Second Language. When students really begin to master a new language, the world opens up to them. They can make connections in other countries and be able to understand foreign cultures in a whole new way. In my spare time, I like outdoor activities like camping, as well as traveling of course. I also enjoy the cinema and finding new craft projects.
