I love being an educator and making an impact on people's lives! I have taught k-12 in nearly every subject since 2004 as a multi-subject long term substitute for San Diego Unified School District. I have also worked as a private tutor for 2.5 years. One of my biggest accomplishments was teaching every subject in grades 3-5 to a Russian student who had never been in school & was never taught to read or write. Hobbies
I am a huge animal lover, from my St. Bernard to my collection of small exotic animals. I also love educating people about animals, history, or sharing knowledge in any way possible. I majored in Art and it continues to be a huge passion in my life that I involve in nearly all of my teachings for more effective hands on & minds-on learning experiences. I feel that there is an artist in every one of us, sometimes it is evident, and sometimes it must be sought from within. I also spend a lot of time in the ocean doing just about anything and everything possible: free-diving, teaching surfing, paddle-boarding, snorkeling, kayaking, spear fishing, swimming and sharing its powerful addiction with others. As an educator I try to find teachable moments in almost everything that I do, for I see the world as our classroom.
