I recently graduated from Grossmont College, with an associates degree in science. My major was University Studies, with a concentration in Natural Science, Computer Science, and Mathematics. I graduated with honors and held a cumulative GPA of 3.9 with over 100 credit hours.
Experience
I have spent over a year tutoring Anatomy in an open lab style environment, and have worked with students of all age groups. Additionally, I have tutored physiology in a one-on-one setting, and was given the opportunity to work with disabled adults in the process. I love tutoring because it allows a relationship to form between the tutor and student that circumvents the subordinate/ordinate component that sometimes exists with a teacher or professor. The most memorable course I was fortunate enough to take was Human Cadaver Dissection. For the whole semester, myself and two other students were given full control of our work, and were required to present our dissections weekly to other biology classes. This class sparked my interest in Pathology, and I hope to become an Anatomic/Clinical Pathologist some day.
