I am presently a student attending San Diego Community College. My goal is to transfer to San Diego State University where I will pursue a bachelor's degree in mathematics with a focus in finance. For me, math has been a passion of mine throughout my life. Thus, it was an easy decision for me to pursue math. During my high school year, I discovered an additional passion for tutoring others and helping them gain a stronger grasp of mathematical concepts. Tutoring is personally gratifying, because it allowed me to experience the joy of seeing others mature and gain new skills in something that had previously been a challenge for them.I believe that working hard pays big dividends, and it was great to witness this in those that I tutored. Any challenge is an opportunity to gain new strengths and insights-to continually improve and expand. My teaching philosophy is that overcoming challenges can help lay the groundwork for improvement in any endeavor. I am there to help students, but I like inspiring them to find a solution on their own. In my spare time, I love watching sports, enjoying a day at the beach, and spending time with my family and friends.
