I'm a young professional who is fluent in French, holds a B.A. in French (graduated in 2011 magna cum laude from Ohio University) and lived in France for three years. I now work for an international education company in San Diego, and travel occasionally to France for work, allowing me to keep my language skills sharp.
Experience
I was a Teaching Associate of French at Ohio last year, and during the two years preceding that I taught English in a high school and a university France. I've had over 5 years of experience teaching and tutoring French and English, and I consider myself a patient and thorough teacher who strives to make learning both fun and meaningful. I love speaking French and sharing the gift of a foreign language with others, so teaching comes naturally to me. I can identify students' learning methods, and I adapt my teaching style to match it. During lessons, I speak in French the majority of the time, which speeds up the learning process and allows students to become more comfortable both hearing and responding to spoken French--something that doesn't always happen in a classroom.
