I believe that each person has the ability to increase their knowledge of any subject. As a tutor, I put forth my best efforts to help students tap into their academic potential. As a result, I am able to create personalized learning plans by understanding how each student learns best. Most recently, I completed 500 hours with the program City Year. Through this program, I was able to teach middle school students Pre-Algebra. I was also able to plan the agenda and teach the subject in a more in-depth way.Having just 5-7 students to tutor at a time allowed me to give each one more attention. I watched their grades improve significantly. The experience I gained tutoring definitely helps me to assist others with their studies. Subjects that I can tutor include Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Biology, Mandarin Chinese 1-2, Science, and IB Biology SL. In my free time, I like hula hooping, learning languages, and body boarding.
