I enjoy tutoring as a way to maintain my teaching skills while motivating students to succeed. I am a biological technician working at UCSD, and can provide insight into the career of a scientist. I have taught violin and dance for a number of years, as well as assisting classmates with their studies in biology, so I am well versed in motivating and inspiring my students to succeed. I also recently took the MCAT and can provide tutoring for all sections, particularly the verbal and biology. I am also prepared to edit college/graduate school essays and coach students through the application process. Hobbies
While I love biology and research, I am also interested in medical anthropology and social justice. I am a dancer and a musician (violin and viola). I was the music director of my a cappella in college, and participated in a number of different clubs and extracirriculars including competitive ballroom dancing. I also am a big foodie and love to play with my dog and read for fun. I am in the process of applying to medical school and hope to become either a pediatrician or an ob/gyn in order to work with women and their children and support them in all aspects of their lives.
