Experience
I took AP Language and Literature in High School, and continued to do well in English classes throughout college. I tutored math in community college. I have taken a wide variety of English/Literature classes, which give me a strong understanding of poetry, critical thinking, essay structure, grammar, analysis, and synthesis. I have been working for the past five years, mostly in book stores. I worked through my college experience, which gives me an edge on time management and meeting deadlines. Sharing my love for literature and helping others succeed has always been a passion of mine.

Hobbies
I enjoy all things outdoors: hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, and swimming. I also love to write, and I enjoy crafting short stories and longer pieces of fiction. And, of course, books. I was an avid reader as a child, which naturally turned into a bookselling career with independent book stores. I specialize in Children's Literature, from picture books to young adult novels, but I read all types, and I am well versed in the classics and current fiction. I believe that everyone can get joy from reading, and everyone has something to say about what they read. I love working with young people and providing them with the tools to become full readers and excellent essay writers.
