EducationUniversity of Houston - Bachelors, Psychology
ExperienceI attended the University of Houston, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. My minor at the university was history. During my time in college, I enrolled in all sorts of varying courses because I have a lot of academic interests. Right now, I am working to get certified to teach and plan to work with middle through high school students. Subjects I enjoy teaching include elementary math, American and European history, psychology, algebra, and geography. I am skilled at assisting with SAT math, writing, and subject tests, as well as with crucial PSAT test taking skills.I am very happy when I am able to bring understanding to students in areas where they were struggling previously. Anybody can accomplish anything in education if the proper amount of time and effort is contributed by the student and the instructor. There is no one right way to teach a subject. Everyone learns in their own way and styles must be adapted to suit those differences. I will do what I can to come up with effective strategies based on individual need. When I am not tutoring, I am scouring the news in an effort to stay up-to-date on current events. I like to read and to play sports as well.
