I was part of small, unpaid tutor groups for essay editing and grammar in high school. My first year at SDSU, I edited several essays for grammar mistakes and helped students understand sentence structure, which decreased almost all grammar errors; thus, raising essay grades by 1/2 to full letters. I was in AP English my entire high school career and earned all English college credit by the time I started at SDSU and completed French levels 1-4. Tutoring would be fun! Seeing that "ah hah!" moment in other people as they learn is rewarding. I am aware of how different age students are able to change their perspective while learning from studying psychology.

Hobbies
My hobbies include normal activities with friends like going to the beach, listening to music, morning meditation/yoga to take on the day, and I'm serious when I say this: learning new languages. I pick up on a lot of patterns and realized that language is the largest barrier between people aside from location! I'm very much into psychology and human interaction; therefore, I take on unique approaches with each person I'm teaching. No one learns the same, so the teaching shouldn't be generic. I'm here to help and make students feel comfortable to ask questions. Learning is relative to experience and learned habits so in language and English, I help students relate and remember, not simply memorize.
