volunteer tutor in East Los Angeles College I am helpful and willing to help other people solve problems. I really like helping people. Reaching out to others has taught me how to work with various people, which is crucial in the business world. At ELAC, in my spare time, I help students learn math. I am a tutor in my college. I also volunteer at the ELAC library Tech Help, helping students to learn how to use computers, specifically Microsoft and other basic software. I am also a member of the ISC (International Student Club) and ISAP (International Student Advance Program). As an international student, I know how hard it is to live in a different country, thousands miles away from home. I want to help make other international students’ transitions easier and help them adapt to the new environment.

Hobbies
I like reading, playing games, playing football, hiking. In my spare time, I volunteer at churches to teach disadvantaged children how to paint. I enjoy drawing because it calms me and helps me find peace. In China, because of my excellent performance in school, I was twice awarded the Tang Zhongying Scholarship. I knew I could have used this money to buy things for myself, but I wanted to help other students also excel in school. So, I used all the scholarship money to buy stationery and donated it to the Red Cross to help poor children in rural areas
