Experience
My preferred tutoring style is one on one and in person, although I am willing to change depending on the subject. For example, organic chemistry needs to be in person because it is easy to misinterpret through skype and requires detailed drawings of mechanisms. However, biology can be done online as there is less writing and drawing involved. Honestly, it will depend on the subject. As a physics and biology double major, I love to integrate ideas across subjects. That was, it minimizes the amount of memorization needed since you can draw knowledge from other subjects to facilitate understanding of a subject. For example, DNA splicing can simply be understood as an SN2 mechanism or electrophoresis simply understand as charges moving in an electric field. There is no real reason to memorize these details, but you can reason your way to the answer on the test, and focus on more difficult concepts. I have a good amount of experience as tutor. I have been a teaching assistant for three upper division biology courses classes at UCSD and have improved significantly, as my reviews say. I have also tutored friends and others, although unofficially, in differential equations, lower division physics, and general biology. I have taken both Calculus, Physics, and Biology AP, scoring a 5 on all except physics B (4). My SAT scores were 2040 in general, over 700 for biology, 800 for physics, and 800 for Math II. I have taken the MCAT recently as well and scored a 521 by self-studying, so I can teach that as well, especially the chemistry and biology portion. Furthermore, I have the MCAT material as well, so I am more than willing to lend the material to my tutee to save them some money.

Hobbies
I am an outdoors type of person and enjoy hiking, particularly unmanned hikes. Anything with animals is awesome. Any animal is interesting, from insects to toads to horses. My current hobby is being an aquarist. I raise mystery snails along with African Dwarf Frogs. I love having inverts like crayfish although I am having difficulty integrating them into a community tank. I love playing tennis although not at a competitive level. I am a bit rusty since I have not played in around 3 months.
