Education
I have a MS in Molecular biology from University of Southern California and another MS in Medical Microbiology. My Bachelor's degree was in Biology with Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Food Microbiology as my ancillaries. I have three decades of teaching experience in local community colleges and private tutoring of K-12th grade students. I have taught students of different cultural, educational backgrounds and felt the reward of teaching students. It gives me immense happiness to know many of the students in college biotech program that I taught, college level respiratory therapists and dental hygienists I taught Microbiology, A&P, TEAS test for Nursing etc are all now working and in Nursing schools practicing meticulously some of the mentoring habits I mentored them for life in general. My school students (K-12 and test prep) have benefited from my teaching and gotten advanced to the next level in their learning of subjects and graduated. Expert support for Middle School (Grades 6-8) in Math, Science, and English, and foundational skills for Kindergarten learners. I am grateful to this platform to provide this opportunity and look forward to getting more students to help in this teaching journey with you!
Experience
My main occupation has been in the R & D field and got the opportunity to teach part time Applied Biotechnology, Biology, Microbiology, Anatomy for 25 years in local community colleges and private tutoring, learning centers since 2012 to present. I have a passion for teaching and feel comfort and satisfaction in helping students in their learning process. I teach by breaking down concepts to simpler forms by drawing diagrams, cycles, tables to compare and contrast to illustrate and simplify complex topics. Also, I have tutored school kids from Kindergarten to X11th in English, Science (Biology, Chemistry) and K-8th in Elementary and Middle school Math, Geometry, Common Core Math. At the high school and college level, I have helped students English, Biology, AP Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular biology, Anatomy, Immunology, Biochemistry, Genetic Engineering, I have also tutored some students in test preps like AP Biology, ASVAB, ASTB, SAT, ACT, GRE, TEAS test for Nursing and TOEFL. I would be interested to teach students and am available to teach immediately.
