Experience
I am a passionate teacher, who specializes in helping students break down complex problems into manageable steps as well as understanding fundamental concepts. I have private tutoring experience, either at the high school, university, or graduate level, in calculus, physics, and biochemistry. When I lived in Baltimore, I furthermore volunteered at an inner city high school, where I mentored students and tutored in all subjects. In the course of my undergradaute and PhD studies, I have served as a teaching assistant for classical mechanics (Physics I), Models and Simulations, and a Synthetic Biology Course. I have taken math courses, receiving all A's, in single variable calculus, multivariate calculus, statistics, and multivariate calculus. I have further received all A's in my physics courses, namely classical mechanics and electricity and magnetism. I have also taken a full course of biology and biochemistry courses, including organic chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology, cellular biophysics, and molecular biophysics.

Hobbies
I am a passionate researcher at UCSD who focuses on the question of how cells detect changes in their environment and respond to them. We specifically study the biochemical pathways that regulate cellular responses as well as develop new technologies for probing the cell's biochemistry by engineering specialized protein sensors. In my free time, I love playing the piano, hiking, dancing, and skiing.
