I completed my undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley, and I am currently pursuing my Master's in Education and Teaching Credential at UCSD.
Experience
Tutoring and teaching isn't a part time gig for me. I LOVE working with students to help them achieve their goals. I have three years of full-time one-on-one tutoring experience. Over the years, I have learned how to help students strengthen the underlying skills that the SAT and ACT assess. I'm not going to just watch you complete drills or assign you homework straight from the prep book. We'll work together to strengthen the areas that you need the most support in, whether it's your grammar, reading comprehension, or writing skills. The college application process is an exciting period in your life. You only have to apply to your undergraduate college once. I've worked with dozens of students to apply through the UC, Common App, and UCAS applications. I want to help you craft your story, and showcase your best self. Reading Comprehension, Grammar, and Writing are all interconnected. We will read strengthen your reading and writing skills as well as practice test taking skills such as annotation and the process of elimination My particular expertise is in helping you craft your story. In my experience, the best essays have required 6-10 drafts. This doesn't even include the brainstorming process. I can help you through the entire process, or I can provide short term support in editing and fine tuning. I can also help you with the college selection process. It's not too late! I'm originally fro the LA area. I lived in the San Francisco Bay area for six years and spent the past year in Malaysia, where I had the opportunity to travel across Southeast Asia. In my free time, I enjoy hiking and spending time with my family (and my adorable dogs).
