Experience
As an educator, I have had over 30 years of teaching elementary grades, training teachers, designing reading curriculum and directing a major school district's reading program. In addition, I have written over 30 reading books and teacher's manuals for grades K-6. In tutoring children I diagnose their needs and design lessons so each child will improve their reading skills and achieve their full potential. I also provide multiple opportunities for children to master their skills in phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, grammar, and writing. My lessons include practice pages for students to use between lessons.

Hobbies
My love is to tutor children on a one-to-one basis with the goal to have them succeed in school. I am currently helping children with their book report assignments, preparing for spelling tests and expanding reading comprehension. I continue to write educational materials for two publishing companies. A list of my published reading textbooks for teachers and children are available upon request.
