College of William and Mary - BS, Biology

I studied medicine and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a focus in Pre-Medicine from the College of William and Mary. I have had the pleasure of conducting research in bioinformatics, breast cancer, and virology, and will be starting medical school soon. I began tutoring in college, when I was tapped by the Athletic Department to help student athletes with their Spanish language skills, and have also tutored high school algebra and geometry at a Chicago high school. I believe every student can learn and build upon knowledge in any subject. I especially enjoy working with students who are excited about learning and want to improve their skills and knowledge of a subject. It is a teacher or tutor's job to encourage their students to reach their full potential. Every student has a particular learning style, which is why it is important to adapt lessons to take into account varying learning styles. I am able to tutor students working on Science, Math, English, Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Phonics, Grammar and Mechanics, College Essays, and preparation for the ACT, MCAT, and GRE.In my free time, I love to read, play the cello, hike, kayak, and go to concerts.
